St Wilfrid's Church of England Academy (formerly St Wilfrid's Church of England High School) is a mixed secondary school and sixth form located in Blackburn in the English county of Lancashire.

Facilities

  • Sports Hall: The sports hall is equipped with a full size basketball court (or 4 smaller courts going across), marked courts for a variety of sports and netting that will divide the area in half (one side can then be divided in half again). Dual-lane cricket netting can be pulled out, and some equipment such as netball goals and 5-a-side football goals can also be included upon request. Balls, rackets etc can be hired at additional cost.
  • Gynasium: Gymnasium is a large wooden-floored square area that is a very popular choice for dancing groups, aerobics and yoga classes. There are also some markings for Badminton too.
  • Chapel: Stunning purpose-built chapel sits right in the heart of the Academy and is a bright, quiet space used for prayer, reflection and meditation.
  • Dance Studio: For smaller groups, purpose-built Dance Studio has a large stretch of floor-to-ceiling mirrors along one side.
  • Astro Turf: Recently resurfaced 3G astro turf is available to hire. 
  • MUGA - Multi Use Games Area: Outdoor MUGA is another large space for outdoor sports and activities.
  • iSpace - Immersive Classroom
  • iSpace - projection onto 2 walls
