CURRICULUM INTENT
As a Church school all they do is underpinned by Scripture, striving to ensure that everyone within our community is supported and encouraged to always give of their best irrespective of their situation or starting point. To this end the curriculum offered within the school, both inside the classroom, and beyond, is rooted in a desire to bring out the best in all students and help guide and prepare them to be knowledgeable, skilled, hard-working, decent, honest young adults who are well placed to leave the school and make a positive contribution to society. In order to facilitate this the school, through its core values of ‘Accomplishment, Humility and Service’, looks to the development of the individual academically, socially, spiritually and in terms of the strength of their character. Students are encouraged, stretched, challenged and guided to be critical, collaborative and motivated.
Extra-curricular activities
At Hutton they always aim to offer a wide and varied timetable of extra-curricular events.
Enrichment
At Hutton Sixth Form we believe that opportunities outside of the classroom are just as important to your development as what you learn in class. As well as providing an excellent academic platform, Hutton Sixth Form gives all students the opportunity to immerse themselves fully in the wide variety of enrichment activities on offer. This is fuelled by the core value of community. Students don’t just gel with their classmates, but are actively involved in activities that unite Years 12 and 13.
