The Liverpool Blue Coat School

Church Rd, Formby, Liverpool, United Kingdom
11-18 Years

Description

The Liverpool Blue Coat School is a State Secondary school for kids aged 11 to 18 (Gender - Mixed )

They do not, however, look to the past. The Blue Coat School is an exciting and vibrant place, full of individuals who come together to ensure the students are ready to grasp the opportunities that await them in their futures. This is not, however, simply ensuring young people leave them with impressive academic results. While they make no secret of the fact that we are delighted that we are consistently named in the top three schools in the North West of England, and the top 30 in the country, the education is much broader than that. The school is enriched by generations of alumni who continue to offer support and opportunity, and a community of parents, neighbours, businesses, and partners who are eager to see our students achieve their goals.

It is this vision that underpins all that they do at Blue Coat. Therefore, the Curriculum Rationale reflects this overarching vision.

Things to note

Extra-Curricular
The focus on character education is central to the culture, values, and vision of the school. They combine a rigorous and stimulating academic education with wider personal development. This helps to nurture students to become well-educated, rounded, and responsible young adults. The aim is to provide a rich learning environment through a co-curriculum which focuses on the provision of a series of high-quality activities across a wide range of different domains. These activities complement the core curriculum and support students’ intellectual, moral, emotional, social, creative, and physical development. They are an integral and essential part of a holistic education in which they recognise that individuals flourish in supportive and positive surroundings, where their abilities and talents are encouraged and acknowledged.
