Curriculum
Across the EYFS, they follow the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (2021). This framework states that the Early Years Curriculum is split into 7 areas of learning. The areas are as follows: 3 prime areas of learning: Communication and Language (listening, attention and understanding and speaking), Physical development (gross and fine motor skills), Personal, social and emotional development (being able to self-regulate impulses, manage their self and build relationships with others). At Bowlee Park Community School they believe that all children can succeed in mathematics. They encourage children to have a positive attitude to maths, they work hard to ensure they develop strong mathematical skills/knowledge and we develop a culture where children persevere and are resilient when they are faced with tricky mathematical problems to solve.
