Corpus Christi Primary School, Oldham is State Primary School for kids aged 3 to 11 (Gender - Mixed )

The family of Corpus Christi loves, learns and grows together as followers of Jesus. They are a very happy and successful school, where children are encouraged to give their best at all times.  We recognise that each child is an individual and they work with you as parents to ensure that the academic potential of each is met, whilst nurturing their faith, promoting confidence and self- esteem and therefore developing the whole child. They are proud of our strong relationship with the Parish Church and the local community.  As a school they firmly believe that for children to succeed, excellent home-school relationships must exist and we establish these from when your child first starts their educational journey with us.

Curriculum
At Corpus Christi RC Primary School, the curriculum is designed~to provide opportunities for children to develop as independent, confident, successful learners with high aspirations who know how to make a positive contribution to their community and the wider society. There is a high focus on developing children’s moral, spiritual, social and cultural understanding. Corpus Christi ensures that children are well prepared for life in modern Britain. The school provides a highly inclusive environment where learners enjoy their education. Pupils at all levels are helped to achieve their potential. Those who are most able are challenged and encouraged to expand their skills and knowledge through varied curriculum opportunities. Those who find learning more difficult are encouraged and given targeted support to embed skills, to develop at their own pace and to learn in a style that best suits their individual needs.

Things to note

Before and After School Club
A wide range of extra-curricular activities are on offer to the pupils to help them develop as many skills as possible. Our pupils have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of competitions, visits and events. THE SERVICE OPERATES IN TERM TIME ONLY AT 7:45 – 9:00AM  &  3:15 – 5:30PM. The service cares for children who attend Corpus Christi Nursery, Infant and Junior School Only. There is a registration fee of £5 per annum. Daily charges are £5.50 per morning, £6.50 per afternoon. Family rates available. Children are cared for in the Parish Hall, which is adjoining the school hall. Children do not leave the school building in the morning; they are taken to their classes.

Corpus Christi is an inclusive and supportive school that aims to inspire and have high ambitions for all our pupils. As a Catholic school our aim is to nurture and develop within the children all of their talents. They strongly believe in inclusion and high targets being set for all our children. They pride ourselves on high quality teaching and providing a bespoke curriculum for the children. They are aware that each child is unique and their individual needs are therefore also unique. They strive to create a curriculum that is adapted and designed to be inspiring and engaging. At the heart of the teaching is encouragement and nurturing the children, helping them to over come any barriers they may encounter whilst developing their independent learning. We seek to identify need and use expert guidance when required. Pupils are fully at the heart of the decision-making process at Corpus Christi.
