Bancroft's School is a co-educational independent day school located in Woodford Green. The school currently has around 1,000 pupils aged between 7 and 18, around 200 of whom are pupils of the Preparatory School and 800 of whom are pupils of the Senior School.
Facilities
The music department occupies the Stave, with a large rehearsal space, teaching rooms and individual practice rooms and a technology area for recording and computer work, which is carried out on a suite of Apple Macs.

Bancroft's offers all pupils a broad range of musical experience through their lessons in the first two years of the school; this includes composing, performing and listening to both classical and popular music. Pupils higher up the school can opt to continue studying music to GCSE and A Level.
The main points of entry into Bancroft’s are at 7+ into the Prep School (Year 3, Alphas) and at 11+ into the Senior School (Year 7, Thirds). They also admit pupils into Sixth Form at 16+ (Year 12, Lower Sixth).
