Wilmslow High School is a State Secondary school for kids aged 11 to 18 (Gender - Mixed)
Young people only get one chance at education; therefore, at Wilmslow High School they are committed to the pursuit of excellence for every student, every day. They do this through the dedication to learning, by being guided by values and in striving to serve. They are committed to preserving a happy and caring environment that is rooted in the core values, and in which staff and students can flourish, whilst challenging ourselves to pursue excellence for all the students. This is a time of growth and development for the school, and they look forward to the future with excitement. A great strength at Wilmslow High School is the excellent subject knowledge, but they are keen to challenge ourselves and raise attainment by developing our pedagogical expertise further. We are currently working across the school to deepen our understanding of ‘Big Ideas’ and effective assessment. They are looking to develop further our knowledge of ‘what works and why’ through our growing range of CPD, book clubs, lesson study and action research.

The curriculum intent at Wilmslow High School is to enable every student to take advantage of the experiences, opportunities and choices that a great education brings. To achieve this, we aim for every student to access a powerful curriculum, which they call the Whole Curriculum because its aim is to develop the whole person.
