Wheatley Lane Methodist VA Primary School is State Primary School for kids aged 4 to 11 (Gender - Mixed )

The school aims to provide a nurturing environment where all children are celebrated as being unique, created in the image of God, and are stimulated to achieve their full potential. They want the children to build on the skills they bring to them and they encourage them to be active, independent learners. They aim to work in close partnership with parents to ensure high standards in behaviour and achievement. The commitment to the Christian Vision ensures that together we create a welcoming, caring and flourishing community of children and adults.

Curriculum
A broad and balanced curriculum that ensures knowledge are skills are learnt and developed in an age appropriate, sequential manner in all core and foundation subjects. A curriculum which is aspirational and engaging for all the pupils regardless of ability, SEND or background allowing each to flourish whilst supporting the development of cultural capital for all.  A curriculum which considers the geographic location of our school, represents our local communities, celebrates diversity and nurtures our unique Methodist heritage.  A curriculum which reflects the historical position in a post-pandemic world whilst preparing pupils for life in modern Britain. A curriculum which is enhanced by educational visits, visitors and experiences to allow pupils to embed their learning in the world in which they live

They will always do all they can to work closely with parents, families, school staff and external professionals to ensure that they do the very best for your child.
