Histon and Impington Brook Primary School is a busy and vibrant place where they encourage children to flourish across the curriculum and beyond in a range of extra-curricular provision. They have excellent facilities with positive learning spaces both indoors and outdoors. The expectations are high and they are proud of all that the children achieve. Staff are very committed to providing the best for the children. From September 2021, we are now a primary school and have our first cohort of Reception children. They look forward to growing and developing as a primary school. They are a member of Meridian Trust, a local multi academy trust incorporating primary, secondary, special and sixth forms schools. The primary schools work collaboratively - they share training, professional development and staff expertise to develop the best possible outcomes for children. In particular, they work very closely with Histon and Impington Park Primary School to ensure a consistent approach for all children and families in our community.
Curriculum
They aim to provide a broad and balanced education for the children through the teaching of the curriculum. Statutory requirements and the needs of individuals are taken into account. The curriculum is taught in a variety of ways, reflecting the needs of different curriculum areas and of the children themselves at their different stages of development. Educational Visits
Educational visits are linked with the curriculum and are planned by class teachers.Parents are informed in advance of visits and asked to make a voluntary contribution.Parents are asked to sign a permission slip giving permission for their child to make local visits within walking distance of the school on entering the school.Visits are always supervised by an appropriate ratio of adults to children. Children in Year 6 will have the opportunity to participate in a residential visit.

They provide support to ensure that ALL children make good progress at their level. Where a child has a special educational need, they also provide early identification and response to the need, involve the child and family in the planning, doing and reviewing of the support the child needs, short term intervention programmes and medium or long term intervention to address specific needs.
