Cambridge Arts and Sciences Sixth Form and Tutorial College is Independent Secondary school in Non-selective for kids aged 13 to 24 (Gender - 13 to 24). Purpose-built campus designed to give you the best environment for both studying and living Cambridge.

Facilities

  • New campus has amazing facilities to give you a state-of-the-art learning experience. Shared social areas make you feel at home, while flexible learning spaces encourage collaboration and academic excellence within the classroom.
  • Boarding facilities provide you with a home-from-home, with over 230 single en-suite rooms on campus ensuring that you are comfortable. Also, as boarding house is connected to the school building you do not even need to step outside in winter.
  • They offer catered or self-catered accommodation for over 18s at Varsity House, a short walk from campus – allowing you to be more independent and preparing you for life at university.
  • CATS Cambridge is regularly inspected by the UK Independent Schools Inspectorate, and achieves outstanding results. In the last inspection the campus was graded ‘Excellent’ in five out of nine areas including boarding, and achieved ‘Good’ in all other areas.

Things to note

Sports: They run over 40 different activities each week – from sport clubs to academic and self-development activities, all of which are great for your university application. They encourage all of the students to join in with their peers and have fun, be it Football, Basketball, Yoga, Breakdancing, Jujitsu, or Coding, Robotics, Debating and Model United Nations.

Arts: Arts include Photography, Crafts, Breakdance, Painting, Movie night, Cooking, Drama, Ballet, Choir.

Leadership: CATS Cambridge’s inclusive ‘Learn to Lead’ programme encourages you to make a real difference to your school community. You will work closely with your peers to identify changes needed at CATS and then will run your own project teams to implement these - empowering you to run your own action groups, develop transferable communication skills and make a positive impact. Leadership: Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, Young Enterprise, Model United Nations, Student Council, Personal, Business enterprise, Fundraising.

Academic: In addition to the range of activities offered on campus, we also encourage our students to take part in local community clubs – allowing you to interact with English students around your age and learn more about the local area. CATS Cambridge Football and Basketball clubs also compete regularly with other schools. Academic activities include: Robotics, Astronomy club, Board games and chess, Coding/Java, Debating, Book club, History society, Talks from the University of Cambridge academics.

Trips: They encourage students to take part in a range of trips, allowing you to explore new cities and embrace another country’s culture. Recent trips have included a visit to the Christmas markets in Berlin (Germany), sightseeing and shopping in Madrid and Seville (Spain), a cultural exploration of Paris (France), and an insightful trip to Boston (US) for our Model United Nations group.
