Comberton Village College is leading State Secondary school in Cambridge. This is a Non-selective school for kids age 11 to 18 years. Gender - Mixed

They are delighted that you are interested in our Village College. Since opening as a secondary Village College in 1960, we have been true to our roots. They still seek to serve our community and to be at the heart of that community. The school has developed a very great deal, but our community ethos remains. ‘Excellence for All’ is the over-arching aim and it is the driving force behind all that we do at Comberton Village College. A long-standing national reputation for academic excellence and outstanding opportunities for all of our pupils does not mean that we rest on what has happened here. We always want every single one of our pupils to do his or her best and always seek to strengthen our work to enable this. Ofsted inspections consistently grade the overall effectiveness of our school (including the most recent inspection in February 2013) as ‘outstanding’. 
 

Facilities

Curriculum
Comberton Village College has a broad and balanced curriculum. We believe fundamentally that children deserve to study a wide range of disciplines throughout a three-year Key Stage 3. Key Stage 4 options choices are made in Spring of Year 9, for study during a two-year Key Stage 4.

Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
They consider ourselves to be a fully inclusive environment and make many adaptations to mainstream education and the school environment in order that all students can manage successfully and are offered equal opportunities to participate fully in the life of the school and take part in all possible activities. We endeavour to support young people to participate in any additional/extra-curricular activity they would like to without any barriers being put in place. We also take the overall well-being of all students very seriously and support those with social and emotional difficulties by offering access to internal and external support services.

At Comberton Village College, we plan our broad and balanced curriculum to develop our pupils’ character so that they become confident and capable members of society and caring members of our community. Our wide curriculum is planned to promote their spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development and prepare them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life.
