Drayton Manor High School is State Secondary school for kids aged 11 to 19 (Gender - Mixed )

It is over 90 years since Drayton Manor opened in 1930 and they continue to build on the successes of the past to put the school in the best possible position for the next 90 years. Perhaps the fact that they have only the fifth Head of Drayton Manor in all that time says something about the school and how it plans systematically for the future. Drayton Manor is a calm and purposeful place where good manners and good behaviour are considered essential. They have no doubt that this moral education and the way it is combined with academic prowess is one of the main reasons that the school is so oversubscribed. The school has very high standards and everyone knows what is expected of them and this helps create what Ofsted describe as “the extremely harmonious atmosphere”. This allows them to support individuals so they make outstanding progress. The teachers have excellent subject knowledge and are adept at, not only preparing our students for examinations but for building their confidence so they are very well prepared for their future lives, whatever their chosen path

Curriculum
At Drayton Manor High School, the curriculum refers to the totality of all that is planned for the students during their time with them. They see the curriculum in this way as it is the view that it is more than a programme of academic study, as that simply does not do justice to the purpose of an education. At Drayton Manor, they are committed to producing personally rounded and highly knowledgeable students who strive to be exemplary citizens, contributing in all ways, and especially as role models within their communities and on the world stage. To this end, the vision for Drayton Manor is that they provide an education which is ambitious and uncompromising in the pursuit of academic excellence as well as rich in both character development and personal development. These principles enable us to promote the maximum possible development of individual students’ talents and potential within our tolerant and caring community.

SEN
Drayton Manor High School offers a wide range of opportunities, academic, practical, cultural and sporting to all students. The school thinks and works in terms of individual students, their personal development, their academic tuition, their interests and their career needs. Students with various types of needs are supported at the school. They work closely with parents, staff and external agencies to ensure the students make good progress and the individual needs of the students are met. We identify the needs of all students whether they have a special educational need or not. This takes place on admission and throughout their time at Drayton Manor.  Every student is seen as an individual and if special educational needs and/or additional intervention is required the school will inform the parent.

School Entichment Acticities
Being a Draytonian is all about getting involved in all aspects of school life where our students can learn a new skill, find a new passion, and take part in something they enjoy.  They take pride in providing opportunities for the students in a wide range of clubs, trips, and event from whole-school and whole-year group events to smaller-scale activities tailored for specific individuals.
