Notting Hill and Ealing High School Junior School GDST is a leading prep school for girls aged 4 to 18 (Gender - Girls).
Across NHEHS, they offer exceptional educational opportunities for girls of all ages, from Reception through to Sixth Form. All girls, whatever their age, benefit from our “no either-or” ethos, where academic ambition happily coexists with a supportive and empowering atmosphere. In the Junior School, they work hard to understand what is most effective in helping each individual girl achieve her personal best and classes are stimulating and fun. At NHEHS, we carefully balance class teacher-led lessons with specialist teaching in several subjects. This ensures the class teacher has a good understanding of your daughter’s progress in many areas of the curriculum and anchors her pastorally, whilst she also benefits from expert instruction in Science, PE, Music, Computing and Languages. Much of the learning is linked to thematic topics which leads to great depth of understanding and equips the girls for an interdisciplinary future where subjects do not sit in silos. There is a strong focus on developing literacy and numeracy with daily lessons in each subject.

All students sitting the 11+ entrance assessment will be considered for the academic scholarship and those showing outstanding potential in the entrance test will be offered an Academic Scholarship.

This year, academic scholars have enjoyed various puzzles and challenges, and a polymath trip to the Tate Modern where they interrogated the link between science and art.
Music Scholarships:
Music is an integral part of life at NHEHS and we welcome applications for our Music Scholarships. We would suggest students come along to our Music Open Morning in the Autumn term to get a taste of music life at NHEHS and to meet some of our music scholars.
Students will generally be playing at Grade 5 standard or above on their main instrument, although they do not need to have taken grade exams. Equally, if your daughter plays a more unusual instrument, but has not yet attained Grade 5 standard, please do get in touch with our Admissions team for advice.
Auditions will be held in late January 2023. Please click below for further information.
Sports Scholarships:
NHEHS has an exceptional reputation for developing talented students to achieve their potential. We offer a number of sports scholarships in Athletics, Netball, Cross Country, Swimming, Cricket, Tennis, Hockey and Water Polo and students can apply for one sport or for an all-rounder award.
We will hold our Sports Scholarships assessment day in January 2024.
If you are interested in applying for either a music or sport scholarship please tick the relevant box on the Registration Form.

Scholarship application forms will be sent to you on completion of the online Sixth Form registration form, where you should indicate which scholarships you are interested in applying for.
