Business and Economics
Business is an option taught at GCSE and A level. Economics is taught at A level only. The GCSE Business course is varied and provides an excellent insight into starting small businesses in the UK and investigates what’s involved in managing businesses once they grow. At both GCSE and A level students learn about business functions including finance, marketing, human resource management and operations. Business is a ‘hands on’ course with opportunity to apply knowledge to everyday scenarios, students are encouraged to think outside the box and develop their communication and presentation skills where possible.
Design and Technology
“Design and Technology is about providing opportunities for students to develop their capability, combining their designing and making skills with knowledge and understanding in order to create quality products”. Geography
Geography is the ONLY subject that enables you to understand the natural and human worlds and how they interact. Geography is not only up-to-date and relevant, it is one of the most exciting, adventurous and valuable subjects to study today. So many of the world's current problems boil down to geography, and need the geographers of the future to help us understand them.

Art

Drama
The Drama Department aims for all students to achieve their God given potential through developing skills in the three key areas of; Creating, Performing and Evaluating Drama. Students will explore a range of themes and theatre styles alongside developing practical and team working skills that will be transferable in other subjects and outside of the classroom. The Department aims to develop individuals who are confident members of the school community and wider society, aware of their own worth and value.
