Clifton Primary School is situated in the heart of Southall in the London Borough of Ealing. The school has been at the centre of the local community for over 100 years and we pride ourselves on firmly holding the pupils’ best interests at the heart of everything they do.Clifton is a culturally diverse two-form entry school with 500 pupils on roll from Nursery to Year 6 and across the school there are 26 different languages spoken. At Clifton, they foster a love of learning and provide our pupils with the aspirations to become whoever it is they want to be in the future.

Curriculum
Children learning in Nursery and Reception classes follow the statutory EYFS framework for teaching and development. This stage is very important in a child’s life as it helps prepare for school ‘readiness’ as well as preparing them for their future learning and successes. Children learn skills, acquire new knowledge and demonstrate their understanding through 7 areas of learning and development, these are split into Prime and Specific areas.All 7 areas of learning are used to plan children’s learning and activities. They make sure that the activities are suited to your child’s unique needs by being flexible where staff follow your child's unique needs and interests, while teaching them the most important skills and knowledge to prepare them for future learning.Phonics teaching is a key part of children’s learning, this is where children learn to link letters and sounds and develop early reading and writing skills.

EXTRA CURRICULAR CLUBS
They run a wide range of clubs that take place after school. Some of these clubs are run by external companies but most of them are run by the Clifton staff. The clubs are heavily subsidised by the school in order to support parents/carers and provide a wide range of opportunities and experience for the pupils. Some clubs are part of our School Sports Programme and prepare pupils for various sporting competitions across the academic year. These clubs are free, and pupils are invited to attend
