At Thornton Hough Primary School, they provide a warm and friendly atmosphere in which children can grow and develop both socially and academically. The aim is to ensure the children are both happy and secure which sets the basis for successful learning, whilst developing the self-confidence and moral values that are crucial for today's world. They see themselves very much as a family school with traditional values, at the heart of a community that works together for the good of the children. We take pride in our achievements and have high expectations for each child in every aspect of their work.

At Thornton Hough Primary School, the caring family ethos and dedication to pastoral support, develops happy and secure learners who are able to access the curriculum with confidence. They believe that the curriculum is everything from the moment a child walks in through the school gates - all their daily experiences and their interactions with adults and their peers. They want the children to be responsible and independent members of society with the confidence and curiosity to be life-long learners.
