Features

Things to note

  • Music is the beating heart of life in the Prep Phase of the school. They have a very strong tradition of string playing in Prep, with a growing number of people taking up wind and brass instruments. There is a Junior Orchestra, Junior Choir, Guitar Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble and Ukulele Orchestra, and more advanced players have the opportunity of joining the Whole School Orchestra with the Senior Phase students.
  • In the Prep Phase, they aim to provide pupils with direct first-hand experiences and we love using our local area for many aspects of geography, history and science as well as taking children further afield to museums, historic venues, workshops and outdoor facilities. It’s not just day trips. Overnight adventures are key to social development, confidence, and independence, and we are delighted that all pupils take part year on year.
  • The Sports Department consists of an experienced and dynamic team of staff who are committed to the successful delivery of PE and Games. The department incorporates specialist external coaches, PE teachers from the Senior Phase and other teaching staff to ensure that the delivery is to a high level.
