Nursery
The girls and boys enjoy light, spacious classrooms filled with educational games and toys, books, dressing up clothes, craft materials and musical instruments. With specialist teachers for sport, computing, music and Forest School who teach right up throughout the school, your child is very much part of the Coworth Flexlands family. Our dedicated outdoor Nursery playground and woodland area further extend our classrooms for open-air discovery, play and Forest School. The Head of Early Years and Nursery Coordinator ensure a smooth transition from home to Nursery. Children follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum to gain the foundations of mathematics, reading, writing and science.
Pre-Prep - Reception, Years 1 & 2
The move to Reception is an exciting time for the children. Our Pre-Prep Department covers Reception, Year 1 and Year 2, for children aged 4-7. There are so many benefits about being here at Coworth Flexlands for those first few vital years when the foundations of learning are securely laid down. Working with specialist teachers in Science, Drama, French, Computing, Music and Sports. Team-building and outdoor learning through Forest School. Acres of grounds give them plenty of space and freedom to explore and play. Individual attention in small classes. A class teacher and teaching assistant take great care over the children's learning, pastoral care and social development. A sense of community through belonging to one of our four Houses.
Prep - Years 3 to 6
Coworth Flexlands is a leading Prep School ideally located on the Surrey/Berkshire borders. They are delighted to announce plans to extend our co-educational provision. The School is presently co-educational up to the age of 7 and girls only from 7 to 11. From September 2023, we will phase in co-education up to the age of 11 so that more families can benefit from all that our wonderful school has to offer. Learn more.The curriculum is designed specifically to extend and enrich learning at all levels, and to prepare our pupils for their 11+ entry into a wide range of senior schools.

Music, Performing & Creative Arts
At Coworth Flexlands we provide weekly lessons in music, dance, drama, art and design technology. Music and performing and creative arts play an important role in nurturing numeracy, literacy, listening and comprehension skills as well as physical confidence.
Sports
Sport forms an important part of school life at Coworth Flexlands from the day your child arrives. All pupils experience a wide variety of sport through their PE, dance and games lessons boosted by extra-curricular opportunities. The emphasis is on developing skills from Nursery upwards to equip every child to take part in competitive sports as they mature. The skills of teamwork, communication, concentration, stamina, winning and losing all aid a healthy body and mind.
Co-Curricular Activities
At Coworth Flexlands School, we have a wide variety of clubs to suit everyone’s talents and hobbies. They take place before, during and after school. Pupils can sign up for them on a termly basis.
