They aim to provide quality ‘stepping-stone’ education for young people with an EHCP. They will provide a caring and nurturing environment for all students so that their learning journey is rewarding, inclusive and with a targeted direction.
The 16-19 Bursary has been set up to support the most vulnerable young people to participate in and benefit from post-16 education and training. Bursaries of £1200 are available to all young people in the nominated vulnerable groups detailed in the 16-19 Bursary Policy.
Discretionary bursaries may also be available to young people in the sixth form facing financial barriers to participation, such as the costs of transport, books and equipment. Students should apply for a bursary by second week of enrolment. Students must apply for funds for specific educational purposes.
