Description

Greenwich House School is Independent Primary school in Lincolnshire for kids aged 3 to 11 (Gender - Mixed )

Greenwich House is set in the ancient Lincolnshire market town of Louth. Its heart is firmly set in the surrounding countryside, with traditional values of loyalty, hard work and high standards of behaviour and achievement. Opening in 1990, they are incredibly proud to have completed over 30 years of providing quality education and care from 0 to 11+ years, initially in the Creche and Kindergarten departments, which share a separate but integral area of the site. The Greenwich House School experience is the beginning of a journey along which they provide all the conditions for children to discover the joys of learning. Students receive so much more than an ordinary education. They pride ourselves on creating a unique, exciting environment that embraces all types of learners and promotes growth both academically and personally. Students and families are also welcomed into a dynamic and supportive community.

Facilities

Academic
The curriculum, whilst taking into account the national requirements, is very much related to every child’s individual needs. It is delivered through a combination of small group teaching or, if necessary, one to one teaching. The curriculum at Greenwich House School has also always been centred around the traditional values they hold, as they are key to helping the pupils become life long learners. In 2022/23 they will continue to develop the curriculum further to embody these core values as the focus for all subjects. The pupils will develop even more detailed knowledge and skills across the curriculum using this as the base. They believe this will allow them to continue achieving high standards, but even more focus will be on their interests, aspirations and the intention of their course of study for their future. The introduction of guests from different industries during the 20/21 academic year was something the children gained a great deal from and something they will continue to develop further.

Kindergarten
Children generally join the kindergarten at 2+ with some children continuing into the school at the end of the first  year of the Foundation Stage. Others will feed into local primary schools. The Kindergarten is divided into three groups - Kindergarten One and Kindergarten Two which is split into those starting school the following September and those who are 2 turning 3. Each section is led by a room leader whose job it is to organise the various activities which take place throughout the day. Senior staff are supported by qualified carers who work under the direction of the room leaders. Apart from the three indoor bases, the Kindergarten has access to a large secure garden play area and a hard play ground when the season demands an alternative playing surface
