Bell Farm is proud to offer your child a wide range of facilities available for play and learning, both indoors and out.
IT resources: Each classroom contains at least two networked PCs or laptops and at least 3 learn-pads that children have access to throughout the day in order to enhance their learning where appropriate. Each class contains a teacher's laptop that is linked to an interactive whiteboard that is used to support learning. There are also laptops available for a slot each week to teach the Computing curriculum so that children get a first-hand experience. Every computer in the school is linked to the school’s filtered broadband connection. The wifi extends to the school grounds so children can use the learn pads indoors and outdoors.
Library: They are very proud of the beautiful library, with its fantastic displays, wide range of texts and comfortable chairs to enjoy reading. The library also has a fully computerised system which allows children to check books in and out.
Gym: At Bell Farm they are lucky to have a separate gym with a wide range of apparatus for gymnastics, dance and other indoor sports.
School Hall: They have a large school hall which is used for assemblies, as well as music practices, choir, clubs and lessons.
The Canteen: They have a dedicated hall for meals with own kitchen facilities, allowing food to be freshly prepared on site. In the summertime, they also have picnic benches available for children who wish to eat outside.
Outdoor Areas: The youngest children have all-day access to our excellent outdoor play facilities, including climbing equipment, bikes, sand and water, trees, wendy houses and reading areas. Additional outdoor activities change regularly.
The Outdoor Classroom: They have an outdoor classroom for children to use with plenty of benches under shade.
Field: They are very fortunate to have a large playing field, great for PE lessons, outdoor learning, clubs and lots of fun in the summer at lunchtime!
The Outdoor Stage: The children also have an outdoor stage area which they can choose to play on. They also hold performances and occasional talent competitions here under the shade of the trees. Playgrounds Bell Farm has a wealth of outdoor space for children to play in during their break and lunch times. During the winter months, they have the children playing on the excellently equipped playgrounds, where as in the summer they utilise the vast field space at the front of the school. Each phase has a designated outdoor space with a variety of equipment including bean bags, skipping ropes, small hoops and small stilts. They have the opportunity to play with equipment such as: space hoppers, large skipping ropes for group skipping, giant chess and drafts, building blocks and large hoops. They also have specially designed climbing wall which has soft flooring underneath. The reception children have their own dedicated playground which is equipped with small and large equipment for them to use; they even have a pirate ship to use! Forest Schools Bell Farm is a Forest School. They have 2 dedicated outdoor forest schools areas which specially trained teachers and teaching assistants use with the children to teach them outdoor skills and teamwork.
