Description

Hampton Junior School is a State Primary School for kids aged 7 to 11 (Gender - Mixed )

Welcome to Hampton Junior School (HJS) which is part of the Hampton Primary Partnership (HPP) with Hampton Infant School. This partnership enables the two schools to closely work together to provide a consistently high standard of education and a coherent approach to the education of all our children. HPP has a single governing body but both schools retain their individual identities and Ofsted ratings.  They have a shared vision, to be a partnership which all children have the opportunity to reach excellence and we work hard to achieve this. It is a great privilege to be part of the Executive Leadership Team at HPP, this team includes myself, Ms Helen Lockey and the Heads of both schools. Mr Jon James is the Head of School (HoS) at Hampton Junior School. They are ably supported by a dedicated and highly skilled leadership team, talented staff and a strong governing body.

Curriculum Intent
‘Be the best you can be’ is at the heart of the HPP curriculum.  Across the partnership, we pride ourselves on our progressive and vocabulary-rich curriculum being clear, carefully considered and connected.  This ensures that the children develop key knowledge and skills in a fun and inspiring way so that they are well-prepared for the next stage of their education. Resilience and independence are embedded through the partnership’s ambitious expectations for all children to succeed, whilst developing a life-long love for learning.  By working in partnership with parents and carers, this supports our vision of excellence while considering all pupils’ individual starting points and personal needs. The aim is for children to be able to enjoy a range of sporting activities, have the opportunity to learn new musical instruments as well as taking advantage of our fantastic facilities, including the sports field, specialist Art studio,  library, well-resourced music room, iPads, kindles, garden allotments as well as pond area.
