  • The Design/Technology department provides the facilities for design, manufacture and construction; using card, wood, plastics and textiles.
  • Two rugby pitches, half-size Astroturf hockey pitch, two all weather tennis courts equipped with markings for two Netball courts, two artificial cricket nets and all weather cricket pitch, a fully equipped gymnasium and an outdoor swimming pool. 
  • A brand new Performing Arts Centre with a number of large and wonderfully resourced music rooms.

Things to note

  • The Art course at St George's Junior School has been planned so that each year group covers a range of skills; art history, drawing, painting, printing, ceramics and sculpture.
  • The PE curriculum on offer at the Junior School is wide and varied in it's content including Dance, Gymnastics, Health-Related Fitness, Swimming and Athletics. 
  • As from September 2016, the Junior School has a brand new Performing Arts Centre with a number of large and wonderfully resourced music rooms. Every class from Nursery through to Year 6 receive two lessons of music each week and all lessons are taught by professional and experienced musicians.

Admission Details

Pupils normally join the school at Nursery, aged 3+; Reception aged 4+ or at the start of Year 3, aged 7+. Offers are made following the assessment and availability of places. Entry into other year groups is occasionally possible where places become available. Assessments and interviews are arranged on application. For entry at aged 5+ and above, a confidential academic report is sought from the candidate's current school. Offers of admission at aged 7+ or above will only be made if the candidate's academic performance in the entrance assessment indicates that they are likely to meet the requirements for entry to the College at 11+. All the scholarships detailed above carry with them a 10% remission of the basic school fees. Honorary scholarships do not carry any fee remission, but are identical to entry scholarships in every other respect.
