The Hammond is a specialist performing arts offering training and education to students across school, college and degree courses.
Facilities
The pupils train in jazz, commercial, tap, modern, contemporary, creative and Pilates as well as vocal training and drama. RAD ballet and tap are both streamed sessions so pupils work at a pace and level that is right for them and are able to make the best progress possible. They have workshops with industry professionals which include contemporary, musical theatre, jazz, commercial and ballet to name a few.
The Level 6 Trinity Diploma courses in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre provide the highest standards of education, training and guidance required for a career in both professional dance and musical theatre performance.

They developed the Theatre Arts courses to support aspiring young actors, musicians, and performers in reaching their full potential as creative and performing artists.
Advanced courses offer full-time pre-drama school or pre-music college training. Students get used to the demands of conservatoire-style tuition in a professional, performing arts-focused environment and train in their area of focus for over 20 hours per week.
Both Dance and Musical Theatre courses combine jazz technique including Luigi and Matt Mattox with varied styles of Fossé, lyrical, MT-jazz and commercial dance. Within the field of contemporary dance, they cover Limon, Graham, Cunningham and release-based work, encouraging students to build confidence in improvisation and choreographic skills.

The Hammond Associate classes are for individuals aged 9 – 15 years and are designed to complement and support the training children receive from their current dance teachers. Classes are held in a range of vocational dance and performing arts subjects and take place three times per term.
