St Stephen’s is extremely proud to have been the Number 1 school in the country and has remained in The top 10 state Primary Schools in the country for the past 5 years as listed in The Sunday Times each year. This achievement is testament and tribute to  the children, the support of the parents, the dedication of a superb team of Governors and a highly effective and intelligent staff team.The team here have worked hard to ensure that the health and safety procedures at St Stephen’s are robust and follow government guidelines. Keeping all members of our school community safe remains the number one priority.Through effective partnerships with parents, staff and international collaboration, St Stephen’s was also recognised by OFSTED with Outstanding outcomes across the four areas of the Federation. They aim for a real love of learning here at St Stephen’s extending beyond school into each child’s life. They want children to be excited about coming to school, engaged in their learning and able to articulate their views in a polite, respectful and harmonious way. They believe wholeheartedly that a child’s education should be inspirational, challenging and nurturing.

Facilities

Breadth of Study
The Breadth of Study (Long Term Planning) reflects the National Curriculum requirements, as well as the local context. Teachers use the Breadth of Studies to map out medium and short term planning, ensuring that we provide immersive learning themes and experiences.

Medium Term Planning
The Medium Term Planning (MTP) outline theme based teaching and learning with particular focus on life skills and enrichment opportunities. They believe that through immersive experiences and careful, constant recapping they will do more, learn more and remember more.

Extra-Curricular
At St. Stephen’s they offer a wide range of clubs that promote sport, art and social development. They aim to provide children with a rich, varied and memorable curriculum, which they enhance with educational visits, themed weeks and days, parent workshops and through special visitors (to share their expertise).As well as this, they also offer Wraparound Care to support the working families, with breakfast club opening at 7:45 am and after school club closing at 5:45pm
