Curriculum
The aim of the curriculum is to provide pupils with a rich, relevant, broad and balanced education, in line with the National Curriculum. The teaching staff consider what they want the children to learn, why they are teaching it and carefully consider how to teach and assess it. The right context focusing on skills, enquiry, research and knowledge, making use of a variety of approaches including using drama, film, computing, real-life experiences and outdoor learning to name a few, all contribute to providing opportunities to achieve outstanding learning, achievement and significant growth in pupils’ knowledge. The school focuses on promoting excellent attitudes to learning.
Early Years Foundation Stage
At Cleves the aim of the "Early Years Foundation Stage" is to ensure that all children are given the opportunity to reach their full potential educationally, emotionally and physically. They provide pupils with a learning environment that encourages them to pursue their own interests, ideas and challenges.The early years of a child’s life are an important stage where the foundations for future development are established. In the Foundation Stage, we foster the child’s needs and stages of development and offer learning which extends, enriches and develops the unique child.
Extended Schools
They have a variety of clubs on offer for children of all ages. Please see the the table below for a list of all clubs. All clubs run from 3.30 – 4.30pm.If your child is not collected on time they may lose their space from their club.
