St Nicholas School is Independent Primary school in Brent for kids aged 0 to 11 (Gender - Mixed )

Saint Nicholas School educates boys and girls aged between the ages of two and a half and sixteen. It was founded in 1939 in Churchgate Street, a village on the outskirts of the town of Harlow, and moved to its present site in 1977.The current school site is set in fourteen acres of beautiful grounds in a residential area on the outskirts of Old Harlow.  Originally an Edwardian country house the School has added many superb purpose built facilities including Sports Hall, Swimming Pool and Theatre. This growth and development has provided excellent resources for teaching and learning whilst retaining much of the green spaces and features of the original estate.Saint Nicholas is a registered charity, administered by a board of governors. The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is an integral part of the Lower School, which includes Reception and Years 1 and 2. The Lower School comprises Years 3 to 5, the Middle School Years 6 to 8 and Upper School Years 9 to 11.

EARLY YEARS
In the Early Years our aim is to provide your child with a safe, stimulating and caring environment in which to embark on their school life. We have a very enthusiastic and experienced team of staff who are trained specifically in Early Years Education and have a sound understanding of how young children learn.

LOWER SCHOOL
The Lower School covers the age range from 4 to 10 years. The early curriculum emphasises the acquisition of basic skills in reading, writing and mathematics, enabling other subjects and topics to be introduced as mastery of these skills develops.The facilities, broad curriculum and rich diet of extracurricular opportunities ensure that our pupils are readily engaged and enthused, developing quickly their self-confidence and ability to work with others.

MIDDLE SCHOOL
The aim within the Middle School is to provide the very best of specialist education across a broad and varied curriculum. Each day is busy, engaging and challenging and we encourage our pupils to put in as much as possible in order to gain the most from their school lives.The specialist teachers and enriched curriculum inspire our pupils to embrace challenge at every opportunity. Alongside the core subjects of English and Maths, pupils study separate sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) Modern Foreign Languages, Latin, Computing, History, Geography, Art, 3D Design, Food Technology, Music and Religious Education.

UPPER SCHOOL
With a strong academic ethos, rich curriculum, and excellent pastoral care, the Upper School provides a wonderful learning environment for all its senior pupils. Opportunities within and outside the curriculum are rich and varied and the expectation is that pupils will make full use of all that the school has to offer.
