Nursery
Buxlow Nursery is warm, friendly and provides a caring and stimulating environment for children aged 2-5 years. We meet the needs of all children, young babies, toddlers and pre-school.They understand that no two children are same. By caring and meeting each child’s individual needs we know that they can flourish and grow to their full potential. They believe in recruiting and training the very best early years practitioners. Our Nursery has a wonderful team who are trained in best practice and share the same passion of delivering exceptional childcare.
Prep School

Remote Learning
Whereas other schools emailed lesson packs to be taught at home, they concentrated on using Zoom video calls each day so children were taught live at home by their class teacher. This allowed us to continue delivering our usual timetable including Mathematics, English, Science, History, Geography, RE and Art, as well as our subject specialists delivering Computer Sciences, Music, LAMDA and French. All pupils from Reception to Year 6 had access to our online learning platform (Showbie) and this allowed them to access work at any point, even when they had missed a live lesson. We ensured that this was all in place before lockdown to help our children best adapt to the change in circumstances.
Trips & Events
Enjoying an enviable location close to Wembley Park station, we are able to access wonderful museums, parks, concert halls, art galleries, historic sites, places of worship and educational attractions across London. Each year group expects to enjoy between three to four visits a year, for which there is no additional cost.
Educational Visits
These are arranged for each class and are linked to curriculum topics. Younger pupils always travel to such venues in coaches fitted with seat belts. Older pupils may make use of the train, bus and underground facilities; particularly when travelling into central London.2019 visits during this Autumn term have included the Neasden Foodbank, Museum of London, the British Museum, Wembley United Synagogue and the Royal Aeronautical Society.
Buxlow Clubs & Extensions
Clubs and Extension Classes are an essential part of school life, providing opportunities to broaden and enrich learning experiences and foster stronger relationships. In our small school with a big heart, clubs also help to develop social skills through increased opportunities for cross-age interaction.
Performing Arts
Music and Drama are a big part of student life at Buxlow. We wholeheartedly believe in the many benefits that engagement with the arts can bring, from increased confidence, discipline and self esteem to improved performance across the curriculum. Buxlow students are passionate about performing, and every child finds something to enjoy in these subjects. Our regular productions and performances are a real highlight of the school year.
