Description

St Faith's School is Independent Secondary school in Not applicable for kids aged 4 to 13 (Gender - 4 to 13 )

St Faith’s is an independent school for girls and boys aged 4-13 years where we believe that each child is uniquely gifted. Through the distinctively future-focused curriculum, outstanding facilities and inspiring teachers, they cherish each pupil as an individual and provide them with the skills and mental resilience to succeed in whatever path they choose to take. They believe every child is uniquely gifted. The size and ethos of the school enables us to first discover a child’s talents and then make the most of them. It is an exciting journey for the children and hugely rewarding for them to see them develop into happy and rounded young adults.

Facilities

Pre Prep
Pre Prep is where the St Faith’s journey of exploring, learning and developing begins for many of our children. Located in its dedicated area of the school site, Southfield is the home for our children aged 4-7 years. A nurturing and familiar environment, Southfield’s modern and spacious classrooms and play areas are resourced and organised for younger pupils. With its dedicated staff, own timetable, assemblies, play times and entrance, Southfield is a homely setting for our younger children.

Prep
Ensuring trusty academic foundations is a priority. This then gives us the confidence to be upward and onward looking, innovative and future-focused in what they teach and how they teach. In an exciting, demanding and rapidly changing world, they know that the greatest gifts they can give the pupils are a love of what is good and a love of learning, both of which will serve them through their formal education, and into the years beyond. So whether it’s English or Engineering, Music or Maths, Humanities or Hockey, we teach our children to develop a good set of values, cultivate secure and rigorous foundational skills, and apply themselves with enthusiasm, curiosity and creativity. That way they reach high, do well and enjoy success!

Being well-educated means being well-rounded. Excellent knowledge of history, Latin and science is matched by appreciating the arts, and enjoying sports. It also means finding pleasure in a wide range of other activities beyond the scope of the normal school day.At St Faith’s they offer an abundance of extra-curricular subjects for children from the age of 5. The activity program supports the aim of developing well-rounded individuals, helping pupils to find and develop talents and interests.

ENRICHMENT AT ST FAITH’S
The programme of AcE Days are an important part of the pupils’ development by both extending and deepening their understanding of a wide range of concepts within and beyond the set curriculum. There are eight special enrichment days calendared each year. These days provide learning opportunities for new experiences as well as nurturing already identified talents, life-skill development and opportunities to visit places of local and national interest.

Scholarships

Scholarships
St Faith’s offers Academic Scholarships for children entering Year 3, and these are available for both internal and external candidates. There is no formal application procedure; children who perform very well in the Year 3 entry tests (external candidates) and regular assessments in their Year 2 class (internal candidates) will be invited to sit the scholarship papers. When awarding a scholarship, they will take in to account the results of these scholarships tests and the reference from the child’s current school. Scholarships are occasionally awarded to candidates who perform extremely well in the Entrance Tests for Years 4 to 8.  Academic Scholarship awards are normally between 10% and 30% of the full fees.

St Faith’s Bursaries
St Faith’s offers a limited number of means-tested bursaries to support pupils of the School where parental means would be insufficient to meet the fees in their entirety. Bursaries, on a sliding scale, are awarded to pupils who they believe will gain most from a St Faith’s education, and who will contribute fully to the life of the school. These Bursaries may apply to new applicants or to existing pupils whose financial circumstances have changed.
