St Dunstan's College  is a co-educational independent day school  for kids aged 3 to 18.

Facilities

  • St Dunstan’s College is ideally positioned: within 15 minutes by train from London Bridge or Charing Cross, it is set in 68 acres of land across two sites accessible within walking distance. 
  • The Great Hall serves multiple purposes for our College and wider community, including regular assemblies, events, musicals and plays, as well as hosting numerous community events.
  • The Plaza, located in the centre of the College site, is a multi-recreational outdoor space for pupils and staff to enjoy. 
  • Extensive modifications to our historic library have created a contemporary learning support facility, including dedicated collaborative and silent study spaces, as well as facilities for academic enrichment and specialist support.
  • St Dunstan’s has developed a unique, dedicated facility known as the Wellness Centre, to serve as a hub for pupil mental and physical health services. 
  • College site features two outdoor classrooms for pupils to enjoy and learn more about nature.
  • Pupils have access to a wide range of sporting opportunities across both sites, both for competitive sport, training and for leisure. Sporting facilities include two large playing fields on the main College site, a sports hall, gym and fitness studio and a 33 metre indoor swimming pool.
  • As part of extensive adventurous training offer, the College has its own dedicated climbing and bouldering walls.

Admission Details

Junior School registration: The main points of entry to St Dunstan’s Junior School are Nursery (age 3+), Reception (age 4+) and Year 3 (age 7+). The entry processes are designed to bring out the very best in our prospective pupils, and they always take great care to put candidates at ease, so that assessments help accurately reflect pupil ability and learning potential.

11+ Registration: Candidates applying for the Senior School at 11+ are assessed on the basis of Entrance Assessments, Interview and a School Reference from the child’s current Headteacher.Candidates will first sit a series of online ISEB assessments relating to English, Mathematics, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning. Additionally, all candidates will participate in a critical thinking lesson to observe approach to learning, collaboration, and critical thinking followed by a written assessment with comprehension and a persuasive writing task.

16+ Registration: The assessment process for entry into Year 12 consists of an online adaptive assessment assessing applicant’s logical thinking and problem-solving skills, additionally applicants will write an essay-style answer on a subject of general intellectual interest.  This will provide with a standardised score which will help make an informative decision as to whether an applicant should progress to the second stage.If invited to a second round, applicants will be interviewed by teachers in two of their intended A Level subjects and asked problem-solving questions relevant to each subject. All offers are conditional on GCSE results. Entry requirements for the Sixth Form are currently set at an average of grade 6 or above across all the subjects studied at GCSE with 9-7 (A*/A equivalent) grades in the subjects appropriate to the student’s choice of A Levels.

Scholarships

11+ Scholarship: St Dunstan’s College offers a number of scholarships at 11+ for excellence in Academic ability (by invitation only), Music, Drama, Art and Sport. Amongst the range of benefits for students who are scholars, there is also a tuition fee remission of either 10% (minor) or 25% (major).
