Prior Park Collegeis a mixed Roman Catholic public school for both day and boarding students aged 11 to 18.

Facilities

Onsite facilities include a state-of-the-art Sports Centre complete with impressive fitness suite, indoor swimming pool, all-weather pitch, rugby and cricket pitches, indoor and outdoor tennis and netball courts.

Things to note

  • A wide range of additional sports, such as football, basketball, badminton, golf and sailing.
  • Orchestras, bands, choirs, chamber music, jazz, African drums, ensembles - the music department covers every musical genre. 
  • The drama department has an enviable reputation for putting on productions of a high quality and maturity. In the last few years, productions have included Twelfth Night, Daisy Pulls It Off, DNA, Blue Stockings, Trojan Women, MacBeth. There are also opportunities for students to be involved behind the scenes, as technicians or backstage crew.
  • Metalwork, electronics, carpentry, 3D printing, dress making, fabric printing, life-drawing, photography.
  • Diverse range of clubs ranging from Archery to Woodwork. Some clubs are open to specific age groups whilst others are open to all. CLICK HERE for more information.
  • From Year 7, all students have the opportunity to join the CCF. They run a Navy and Army section. Becoming an Army Cadet has many benefits.
  • The College run a variety of trips throughout the year.These range from team building at an outward bound centre for Year 7 Baines students, to academic enrichment trips, for example, Biology's 'Operation Wallacea' in Dominica.
  • Saturday Active is a programme of courses that take place on a Saturday morning, usually between 10-11:30 am. Each course lasts for half a term. Most courses are free but a few may have a small cost involved.

Fees

COLLEGE FEES 2022/23

The College fee includes full lunch and supervised prep for day pupils. The Boarding and Weekly Boarding fee includes all accommodation costs and tuition fees excluding those outlined in the College Fees document. 

Scholarships

THEY OFFER THE FOLLOWING SCHOLARSHIPS AT 11+, 13+ AND 16+:

  • Academic Scholarships
  • Special Talent Scholarships: Visual Arts, D&T, Drama, Music, Sport

Applicants can apply for up to two Special Talent Scholarships but can only hold one - if an applicant is offered both, they must decide which scholarship would best suit their needs and aspirations. Students can hold an Academic Scholarship and one Special Talent Scholarship concurrently.
