At Pilgrims Pre-Preparatory School our ethos is simple. From the superb design of our buildings to the inspiring way we teach, our attention is centered on letting children be children while helping them to flourish.Pilgrims Pre Prep is an independent school in Bedford for children aged 3 months to 7 years. We provide an enriched setting filled with adventures and challenges to enhance the learning experience for all our pupils.With the team of dedicated and highly qualified staff, the delivery of a creative curriculum and purpose-built facilities, Pilgrims aims to engage and inspire children to unearth their individual interests and talents throughout their learning journey.

LITTLE PILGRIMS 3 MONTHS TO 3 YEARS
In Little Pilgrims, the youngest members of our school learn and develop through play, in a happy, safe and vibrant environment. Separated into two distinct rooms (Little Toddlers and Toddlers) set aside from the main building, the facilities and resources within Little Pilgrims have been specifically designed to support each stage of your child’s development.  Each room has ‘free-flow’ access to a large outdoor space which includes a climbing wall, a mud kitchen, a slide and even a ‘hide’ to keep a close watch on the wildlife visiting the school pond.  Even our youngest children take part in Forest School and music sessions throughout the week.

MAIN SCHOOL AGE 4 TO 7 YEARS
Main school follows on seamlessly from Pre School. The small classes, each with their own fully qualified teacher and teaching assistant, ensure that your child is able to work at their own pace; challenges are increased when appropriate and any difficulties are addressed quickly. Through a creative and innovative curriculum the children in Reception to Year 2 are taken on learning journeys, each one filled with a variety of opportunities to investigate, question, discover and enjoy. Inspiring topics capture the children’s imagination as they adventure through Storms and Shipwrecks, explore Pole to Pole and travel back in time looking Upstairs and Downstairs.

SCHOOL LIFE
At Pilgrims School they aim to establish a mutual trust and understanding between school and home. They understand the diverse needs of family life and to support this, they offer a range of extra-curricular activities throughout the academic year. There’s breakfast club in the morning, tea club in the afternoon and, for children who want to take up a new hobby or improve their existing skills, there are numerous after school clubs. If your child has a particular passion for music, we offer specialist music tuition and if they want to be the next big sensation at Wimbledon, the local tennis club coaches are here to help.

Selection Criteria: Selective

Admission Details

Children may join the school at any point from 3 months to 7 years. Once you have decided you would like your child to join us, we ask that you complete a registration form (and session form, if appropriate) and send this, together with payment of the £100 registration fee, directly to our Registrar Mrs Karen Sinclair. Your child’s name will then be placed on the provisional register for entry into the room/year group of choice, on your proposed start date. Prior to full enrolment, your child will be invited to attend a pre-enrolment visit within their appropriate peer group.  After a successful visit, you will be asked to complete the enrolment paperwork and pay the required £500 deposit. Once this paperwork is received and acknowledged by us, your child’s place is confirmed.There is no entrance exam or selection process but we do ask that if your child is joining us in Year 1 or Year 2, they spend some time with us before a place is confirmed.
