EARLY YEARS (AGES 3-5)
The Early Years programme is part of the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP). The PYP (ages 3-12) is the first of the three IB programmes that form a continuum of international education. This first stage focuses on nurturing and developing young children, moulding them into caring, active participants in a lifelong learning journey.

IB PRIMARY YEARS PROGRAMME (PYP)
Through its inquiry-led approach, diverse list of concepts and transdisciplinary themes, the PYP challenges students to think for themselves and to take responsibility for their learning. They explore local and global issues and opportunities in real-life contexts and all students have the opportunity to learn more than one language from the age of four.

IB MIDDLE YEARS PROGRAMME (MYP)
Broad and balanced in its approach, the programme features eight subject groups. Students of all interests and academic abilities can benefit from the highly flexible MYP curriculum that promotes the fundamental concepts of intercultural understanding, communication and holistic learning.

IB DIPLOMA PROGRAMME (IBDP)
The DP students (age 16-19) are taught by exceptional teachers to thrive in a rapidly changing world. They excel academically and personally, and are accepted into the world’s top universities.

Things to note

OUTDOOR LEARNING
Outdoor Learning plays an essential role in Early Years education. At ICS London, we offer all children regular outdoor learning opportunities to develop their personal, social and emotional skills, enhance creativity and bring our curriculum to life. The outdoor learning sessions are planned by our dedicated teachers alongside our Forest School Leader.  They are led by the interest of learners. Children enjoy experiences from across the curriculum including telling stories, hunting for invertebrates, making mud pies and exploring habitats.

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
While the academic standards are second to none, learning is about much more than what happens in the classroom. In helping our students become global citizens who will shape the world, we encourage them to step beyond the academic curriculum to find activities that will aid in their development as people and better prepare them for the world of tomorrow.

AFTER-SCHOOL CLUBS
Clubs are available for students at every stage of their educational journey, from early years through to those on the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. As with everything our students do at ICS London, we endeavour to ensure they are supported in all extra-curricular activity by providing access to facilities, equipment, instruction and care.Furthermore, the activities made available are selected to complement our curriculum to ensure a holistic learning experience with their peers.
