Description

Hampden Gurney C of E Primary School is a Primary State School for kids aged 3 to 11 (Gender - co educational )

Hampden Gurney is of course open to children from every part of the local community. The religious foundation determines the radically inclusive values, in which they seek to serve children whatever their belief or ability. They’re a very diverse community, much like a village school in size, but with the whole world attending. And diversity brings such riches to the community life, ensuring that the cultural capital of the lively neighbourhood finds expression in the day-to-day life of the school. It’s one of the reasons, They love spending time in school each week. They never fail to feel inspired by both the unity and diversity.Hampden Gurney clearly places great value on academic excellence. They want the children to develop a genuine thirst for knowledge and wisdom, providing them with challenges that will lead to ever-deepening understanding. The evidence shows that the children reach their academic potential.

Facilities

NURSERY
In Nursery they learn through hands on experiential learning activities. They enjoy learning new things and having fun with the friends. For the Platinum Jubilee, Nursery took part in the whole school celebrations. They also created a beautiful card and artwork which they posted to the Queen, and they were so lucky, because she wrote back! An incredible piece of history for the children to keep.

CURRICULUM
The Curriculum has been designed to ensure each and every child can ‘live life in all its fullness’ by offering stimulating and awe-inspiring learning experiences with Christian values at its heart. They are committed to offering a curriculum that ‘provides children with a thirst for knowledge, wisdom and a high level of challenge and a deep understanding that we are all equal and made in the image of God; the relationships with each other, the community and global companions leads them to want to care and serve others.’
