The children co-construct the curriculum around their own interests and backgrounds. Things to note

Special Educational Needs and Disability
At Gatley Primary School, they pride themselves on the inclusive approach to learning. The unique curriculum is designed around celebrating each child’s individuality and helping all children to reach their full potential. Through high quality teaching approaches, our dedicated teachers and support staff, allow each child to flourish, develop and lead their own learning pathway. They aim to work together with families to ensure that children with SEND are identified at the earliest opportunity and they are subsequently supported appropriately according to their individual needs. They have a clear, graduated approach to SEND whereby children identified as requiring interventions, beyond high quality teaching, are provided with an individual provision map (IPM) based on their individual needs. Teachers discuss this process with parents and carers at regular points during the academic year based on a ‘Plan, Do, Review’ cycle.
