Curriculum
The Christian school exists to provide a welcoming environment in which everyone is cherished and challenged to fulfil their potential. At Didsbury CE the intent is to provide a rich, ambitious curriculum that engages and enthuses children now and equips them for the future. They desire to live out our mission statement and welcome in children, care for and nurture them and yet also challenge them to be the very best that they can be. It is the intent to fulfil the mission statement by providing a curriculum that enables all of the children to succeed whatever barriers to learning they may face and whatever their starting point. They understand that the best education is life enhancing and may also be life changing.  Many of children are naturally ambitious.  For those who are not, the curriculum is designed to raise aspiration and ambition. They will provide all pupils with role models of people who have had similar backgrounds to themselves.  The discussion, debate and social advocacy opportunities that thread through our curriculum equip our children, whatever their social background, with the soft skills that are vital to success in 21st century Britain.

Things to note

SEND
At Didsbury CE, the aim is to help your child achieve the very best they can at school. They want everyone to feel that they belong to the school; we want everyone to believe in themselves and support each other; and we want everyone to become well-rounded individuals who achieve their best for society. To do this we work in close partnership with parents and carers - you know your child best and you may feel that your child requires additional help or support for some of their time at school.  Not all children will need extra support with their learning but the progress of all children at Didsbury CE is monitored closely to ensure support is provided where necessary. The SEND Information Report below will inform you of the types of support available for your child at Didsbury CE Primary School.  This information will help you understand who can help and how the support can be accessed. The SEND Policy, also below, outlines in greater detail how we support pupils with SEND. The SEND Identification Procedure will show you how staff identify children with additional needs and how this would be communicated to you.
