Manchester Muslim Preparatory School is Independent Primary school in Manchester for kids aged 3 to 11 (Gender - Mixed )

For more than 25 years, Manchester Muslim Preparatory School (MMPS) has been serving the community with the mission to deliver a holistic approach to education. In a continually changing world, the fundamental aim remains the same: to ‘create a caring and warm atmosphere in which pupils can develop their full potential’ through our Trust-wide shared values of FAITH, LEARNING and LIFE.School goes beyond learning and being book smart – they want to nourish the children’s souls too and think big! They want to truly foster a strong connection and understanding of Allah, a love of the Quran and an aspiration to follow in the footsteps of the best of humankind, our Prophet Muhammed (peace and blessings be upon him). A faith fuelled by love and free from confusion and distortion.
 


 

Facilities

Nursery
The nursery has been established for over 25 years and is an integral part of Manchester Muslim Preparatory School, where they pride ourselves in giving the children a warm and nurturing start to their time here. Stepping through the doors, the children will find setting a home from home, greeted with a heartfelt “Salaam” from the experienced staff who work on providing opportunities to gently build their confidence and instill a love for their faith and learning.The early years staff are well qualified, dedicated and work hard to establish positive and long lasting relationships with both children and their families. All of the staff are bilingual and between them speak Arabic, Urdu, Bengali and Malay.

Curriculum
The curriculum is designed to nurture pupils of all abilities to develop a life-long love of learning and realise and achieve their real potential. Following the national curriculum, teaching staff carefully tailor learning to meet the needs of individual pupils. The diversity of the curriculum is enhanced by the provision of lessons in Quran recitation, memorisation and reading; teaching of Arabic (speaking, listening, reading and writing) and Islamic studies.

Extra Curricular Activities
At MMPS they are committed to the holistic development of our pupils and value the importance of providing the pupils with a whole array of experiences. The extra-curricular activity programme provides pupils with the opportunities to try their hand at a variety of different activities and take learning beyond the curriculum.
