3-11 Years

Description

Clifton Lodge School is Independent Primary school in Ealing for kids aged 3 to 11 (Gender - Mixed )

Clifton Lodge is described by those of us who have the privilege of working here as a small, family-oriented, friendly school. Originally being a double-fronted Edwardian house enables us to provide small class sizes where each child matters and they receive a tailored education. Both the homely setting and the daily greeting help to make Clifton Lodge feel like a family – every morning children are welcomed by name and with a handshake (pre-Covid!). With class-based and specialist teachers across the school, staff are quickly able to know each child’s name. As soon as you walk into our entrance hall you will understand why we are described as friendly; our lovely office staff will greet you with a smile and a welcome to make you feel at ease. Our pupils are courteous, curious and always willing to help.

Facilities

Early Years
Early Years are based in a light and airy building with a dedicated playground full of stimulating and exciting equipment to safely explore. Our pupils’ early development is tracked and regularly reviewed, to ensure they reach their full potential before moving into our Year 1 class.

Pre-Prep
Key Stage 1 is an important bridge in a child’s development as they are putting into practice all the skills and foundational knowledge that they have gained in EYFS and building upon them. Years 1 and 2 are situated in large bright rooms on the upper ground floor which incorporates them into the more formal learning atmosphere in the main building whilst also retaining the space required for children of this age.

Prep
Key Stage 2, Year 3 to Year 6 forms are located on the first floor of the main building. They are form based with specialist teachers for Music, French, Science, Visual Arts and Sport. Years 3 and 4 continue to build upon the skills and knowledge gained in Key Stage 1. Years 5 and 6 have specialist teaching in Maths and English in preparation for the 11+ exams. Whilst the 11+ is important and a focal point, a full and varied curriculum is maintained throughout Years 5 and 6.
