  • Animals: Jersey Zoo is home to a diverse range of animals, including Western lowland gorillas, Sumatran orangutans, white-handed and northern white-cheeked gibbons, meerkats, capybaras, giant anteaters, giant otters, geladas, and various rare lemurs and tamarins. Visitors can also see striking bird species like Bali starlings, Chilean flamingos, and Javan green magpies, as well as amphibians such as poison dart frogs and the mountain chicken frog. The zoo also houses several tortoise species, including Aldabra and Galápagos giants, alongside reptiles like Telfair’s skink and Madagascar’s rare turtles.
  • Children's play areas: Eco Explorers playground overlooks our Orangutan Islands. Children can enjoy the Orangutan Nest climbing structure and slide, modelled after the sleeping platforms that wild great apes create out of branches, and explore Durrell’s Den, an outdoor mud kitchen where children can connect with nature.
  • Animal experiences: An animal experience at Jersey Zoo gives you a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into caring for some of our fascinating animals. Whether you want to treat yourself or your loved ones, an animal experience is the perfect way to make a day at Jersey Zoo even more special.
  • Wildlife Camp: At Durrell Wildlife Camp, you've got some of the world's rarest animals right on your doorstep, and you can't miss the site's resident red squirrels! Campers receive free entry to Jersey Zoo and may come and go as they please at any time during opening hours.

  • Toilets: Toilets can be found at Café Firefly in the Visitor Centre, at Café Dodo, to the left of the South American House, inside the Discovery Centre, and outside the Butterfly Kaleidoscope. Baby changing facilities are available at Café Firefly, Café Dodo, and next to the South American House.
  • WiFi: Free WiFi is available in the Visitor Centre, Discovery Centre, Café Dodo and Charity Shop. Use "Durrell-Visitor".

  • By Car: You can reach the zoo on the B31. There is free parking for over 300 cars and accessible parking close to the main entrance.
