Bristol Zoo Project offers a fun and nature-filled experience for visitors of all ages. It’s a modern wildlife park where families can enjoy animal encounters, explore the outdoors, and learn about conservation. Open daily from 10am to 5pm, it’s a perfect place to reconnect with nature.

Attractions include exciting animal experiences, a Fun Fort, a barefoot trail, and the Butterfly Maze. Kids can also enjoy wild play areas like Congo Bongo and explore Tower Meadow, a perfect picnic spot with space to run and relax. Seasonal events like SpringFest, Summer Lates, and Explorer Trails add to the adventure.

Admission prices are £21.36 for adults and £17.09 for children (2–14), with family saver tickets at £67.82. Children under 2 go free.

With free parking, picnic areas, fresh food outlets, and hands-on play zones, Bristol Zoo Project is more than a zoo—it’s a fun and educational outdoor experience that brings wildlife and families together.

  • Animal experiences: Animal experiences offer a unique opportunity to get closer to our incredible animals and meet our experts. These once-in-a-lifetime experiences offer memories you’ll cherish forever. 
  • Fun Fort: Climb up the scramble net, run across the scatter bridge, slide down the fireman’s pole and take on the climbing wall at the Fun Fort!
  • Barefoot Trail: Kick off your shoes and socks on the Barefoot Trail - feel the textures of pebbles, bark, mud and more beneath your feet!
  • Butterfly Maze: Let the children explore the wild hedge butterfly maze or time them to see who reaches the middle first.
  • Outdoor play: Across Bristol Zoo Project you'll also discover lots of outdoor wild play areas including Congo Bongo, and woodland play areas including a giant bird's nest in Bear Wood.
  • Tower Meadow: Tower Meadow is the perfect place for picnics, with lots of room for kids to run around. In the centre is Hollywood Tower, built in 1839 by Edward Dent who designed the famous 'Big Ben' clock tower.
  • Events: This summer, SpringFest runs from 24 May to 1 June on Tower Meadow, offering giant lawn games, crafts, music-making, and free face-painting for families  . On 1 August, Summer Lates continues with after-hours live performances, animal talks, food, and entertainment for over‑16s. Plus, explorer-themed Andy’s Adventures: Explorer Trail runs from 19 July to 2 November, and special talks such as How to Move a Hippo (6 Sept) and African Grey Parrots (11 Oct) are scheduled this autumn.
