Tor View School

Description

Tor View School is situated near Tavistock in Devon. We are an independent school providing specialist education and care services to young people between the ages of 7-18 years with identified special educational needs (SEN), who have an education, health and care plan (EHCP). This includes an autistic spectrum disorder (ASD), speech, language and communication needs (SLCN), trauma and attachment related conditions that may include social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.

  • A multidisciplinary team including an Occupational Therapist, an attachment focused creative art and play Therapist, Psychotherapist and Therapeutic Counsellor. Where necessary there is also access to a Speech and Language Therapist
  • Opportunities to learn within the community to further develop daily living and independence skills in preparation for adult life
  • Regular parent carer and Local Authority communication including sharing progress and achievement updates
  • Associated children’s homes offering 38 and 52 week residential placements
