Established in 2009, initially opening as a Montessori Pre School we then registered to provide primary education in 2010 with our first primary admissions in September 2011. Following the five areas of learning in Montessori as well as the seven areas of learning in EYFS.With each class following their own timetable, days are structured by staff to allow free choices of activities whilst also taking into account individual needs and abilities.They have found that with our qualified staff, knowing both curriculums, that it is possible to help your child achieve goals within each area of learning. The aim is to provide a happy, caring and secure environment for children aged 2-8, recognizing that your child’s needs and safety are paramount, we are committed to providing the highest standard of childcare and education.

Curriculum
At TPHP school  our full, aspirational and inclusive curriculum meets the needs of all learners. Basic skills form the foundations of our curriculum which is coherently planned and sequenced with a clear vision for future life.The curriculum ensures pupils engage in opportunities within their immediate community and wider society through inspiring and engaging lessons which prepare them for the next stage in their learning.The knowledge and skills acquired by pupils build on previous learning, inform future learning and are transferable across the curriculum and beyond. By providing an ambitious curriculum in which all learners can have academic, technical and vocational opportunities, we promote resilience, self-esteem and positive mental health

Things to note

Cultural Learning
The classrooms encompass various subjects that include art, botany, French, geography, music, science, Spanish and zoology. These subjects provide children with an opportunity to explore using their curiosity of concepts and ideas. For example, our approach with the study of science is that of a hands on approach, which is utilizing experiments that will help with cultivating a lifelong interest in nature and the world around them. ​

Language
At school they encourage the development of language skills teaching children through phonetic sounds, helping them to blend the sounds together to make words. We have circle time every morning, where children are encouraged to share their news supporting children to extend their vocabulary. We focus on different story books where children can predict how thw story may end.
