JUNIOR DEPARTMENT
The King’s (The Cathedral) School Junior Department is part of the Cathedral Foundation, and as such can trace its roots back to 1541. We opened to pupils in September 2011 to provide high quality and inspiring education for Key Stage 2 pupils, including the Cathedral Choristers.Junior Pupils are involved fully as part of the King’s School Family, accessing Full and House Assemblies, the House Music Competition, Cathedral services and Speech Day. Pupils access main School facilities on a daily basis, but retain the benefits of working as a compact team.
EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
At King's, they fully recognise that education is not just about the acquisition of knowledge and skills. A balanced education must challenge students, to put their skills to the test and encourage them to push their physical and mental boundaries. The academic teaching is just one part of a greater whole. All our curriculum areas provide multiple enrichment opportunities, outside of the classroom, where all students can enjoy challenges of a different nature.
