Facilities

Pre Prep
In the Pre-Prep we broadly follow the National Curriculum (EYFS), laying particular emphasis on the early acquisition of the traditional basic skills of reading, writing and numeracy. From Reception, there are specialist teachers for music, dance and French. From Year 1, specialist teaching is introduced for ICT, art and sport; all other subjects are taught by the form teachers. Humanities are taught through a series of specific topics throughout the year.

Prep
The Curriculum in the Prep School is broad and balanced. We keep a close eye on the requirements of senior schools: while many children may wish to continue to Fulham Senior, we believe every child should find their own path, and all need to be equipped to face the eventual challenge of 11+ and 13+ so that they are well-placed for parents and children to be making the best possible choice for each individual.Subjects covered include Art, Design Technology, English, French, Geography, History, ICT, Latin, Mathematics, Music, Philosophy, Physical Education, Religious Studies and Science.

Senior
The transformative and creative curriculum is above all what defines and distinguishes Fulham Senior. Detailed guides to the different stages of study are below, but here are some of the highlights that characterise our approach to senior study.

Sixth Form
IB World Schools share a common philosophy - a commitment to improve the teaching and learning of a diverse and inclusive community of students by delivering challenging, high quality programmes of international education that share a powerful vision.**The International Baccalaureate is the best pre-university course available to students today. Its broad, coherent, and holistic approach to education provides students with a global outlook while developing core skills and new ideas, which prepare them for the challenges of the 21st century.

Admission Details

Fulham School is a non-denominational school with a Christian ethos welcoming all children regardless of race or faith. Our approach is co-educational and inclusive. They believe all learners benefit from diversity of ability, from those with the most academic confidence to those who need more support. A mix of strengths and aptitudes makes for a healthy and dynamic environment, avoiding some of the artificial pressure imposed by selection on narrow criteria. It enables all pupils fully to achieve their own potential. The main entry point is at Reception, where we are proud to boast of very small class sizes, but we also have intakes from 7, 8, 11 and 13 years of age (school years 3,4,7 and 9), with occasional places available in other years. We prepare pupils for competitive entry to other senior schools at 11+ or 13+ and to entry to university, training or employment at 18+.
