Facilities

Recently upgraded AstroTurf pitches are suitable for netball, tennis and five-a-side football as well as training and activity camps. There is completely independent access from Amberley Grove as well as through the Senior School building.
Also located on Senior School site, this is a large indoor sporting space suitable for netball, basketball, volleyball, badminton, gymnastics, circuit training and general exercise.
Well-maintained sports ground, located in Lower Sydenham, offers eight acres of playing field facilities, complete with traditional pavilion housing changing rooms and a kitchen.
The sports ground is suitable for football and rugby matches on two pitches, cricket, tennis, athletics and training. There is a fully marked out athletics track, a long jump, high jump, cricket pitch and tennis courts.

The department promotes a ‘sport for all’ policy and encourages everybody to join in, recreationally or competitively, fostering a long-term positive attitude towards health, fitness and physical recreation.
Music at Sydenham High is vibrant and exciting. They aim to provide a platform for all musicians to shine and develop their musical talents and potential.
Drama flourishes here. Not only in the classes, which are vibrant spaces, rich in imagination, experimentation, personal endeavour and joy, but also in the co-curricular provision that characterises every week in the life of the school.
Dance is extremely popular here and they hold annual Dance show which has now been running for over 10 years. This is one of the highlights of the year and showcases solo, group and class performances.
