South Wilts Grammar School is leading State Secondary school in Salisbury. This is a Selective school for kids age 11 to 18 years. Gender - Girls

South Wilts provides high quality education and is one of the top schools in the country. Academic achievement at South Wilts is excellent with outstanding examination results across all key stages. The school has over 1000 students, including over 376 students in the sixth form.
 

Facilities

KS3 Assessment
Each subject has produced a grid that includes the different knowledge which students need to gain, and skills which students need to develop, with descriptors for the work anticipated at the end of the year, and beyond, for our very gifted and talented students. These subject grids provide an overview and guide for the level of work expected of students and are not meant as detailed checklists.

Remote Learning
A pupil’s first day or two of being educated remotely might look different from our standard approach, while we take all necessary actions to prepare for a longer period of remote teaching.

Sixth Form
They are delighted to welcome male and female students into our sixth form and we have over 100 male students who have joined us.
Four main principles underpin the sixth form at SWGS:
Vibrant learning: we aim to ensure that our specialist, expert teachers help you to enjoy an outstanding educational experience.
Excellent pastoral care: we do all we can to support you. I am proud that a key guiding principle of the sixth form is to do what is right for each individual at all times.

Social, Moral, Spiritual, and Cultural Education (SMSC)
At South Wilts Grammar our central tenet ‘Learning for today, preparing for tomorrow’ exemplifies our attitude and approach to the importance of the development of all aspects of SMSC. We believe that our curriculum should provide a broad and balanced experience for all students. It is fundamental that students must have the opportunity to acquire knowledge to develop a respect for facts and the truth so as they are able to understand their own values. Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE) and SMSC is about empowerment, relationships, rights and responsibilities. It is also about social systems, their structures and the forces of social change.
