Rosebery School is a State Secondary School for kids aged 11 to 18 (Gender - Girls)
Rosebery girls demonstrate and develop the character and resilience to thrive academically and beyond; they leave us as well rounded and capable individuals who are inspired to make positive contributions to society and to become compassionate future leaders. Alongside this, the reputation for academic excellence and rigour is borne from the track record for securing exceptional GCSE and A Level outcomes; the GCSE results typically place them amongst the very highest achieving schools in the country, and ensure the students are able to progress onto their chosen pathway and destination, future study and employment, including some of the most prestigious universities and employers in the country.
Key Stage 3 (KS3)
In Years 7-8 we work to build the foundation knowledge, understanding and skills which will lead to personal and academic success.
Key Stage 4 (KS4)
In Years 9, 10 and 11 students will study a core curriculum of English Language and English Literature, Mathematics, Science, Geography, History and a modern foreign language. The language studied will be either French or Spanish (depending on what has been studied at KS3) and students are able to study both History and Geography in Year 9.
Key Stage 5 (KS5)
Every Year 12 student embarks on a Personalised Learning Programme after choosing 3 or 4 A Levels (or a mix of BTEC and 1 or 2 A Levels) for the two year duration in Rosebery Sixth Form. This is the Core of a student’s curriculum. Assistance is provided in making these choices during the Sixth Form Interviews held by Senior Staff members by December of Year 11.
