Nursery
The Nursery at Rendcomb College is bright, spacious and designed specifically to enable the children to experience a wide variety of activities. They fill the rooms with exciting, stimulating equipment which is put in place to enhance all areas of development. The child-centred approach promotes the development of creativity, individuality and self-confidence through working in partnership with parents to provide the highest standards of nursery care. The children will experience activities, teachings and excitement, in a secure, happy environment, with the focus strongly on play.The staff work hard daily to ensure that activities are all well-tailored to every individual need for the children in their care, adapting them as necessary. With a high level of adult support and encouragement, the children work and play in small and large groups to enhance their learning experience.
Junior School
At Rendcomb College Junior School, we strive to develop thoughtful, adventurous and academically ambitious young people who are life-long learners. The Junior School curriculum offers a broad and varied study programme to enable an all-around education in keeping with a common educational, government-approved curriculum. Senior School
They are an HMC and IAPS co-educational day and boarding school for children aged from 3 to 18 located within extensive parkland in the picturesque Gloucestershire Cotswolds. Cheltenham and Cirencester are within close proximity and Day pupils commute from the surrounding areas of Gloucester, Swindon, Stroud and Oxford. They educate approximately 400 boys and girls across our Nursery, Junior and Senior Schools. Boarding starts in Year 7 (age 11) and both Boarders and Day pupils share the same Houses enabling strong friendships and comradery to flourish throughout the College.Life at Rendcomb College encourages young people to embrace as many experiences as possible through the holistic approach. We encourage Rendcombians to think independently, to challenge and to engage. They provide breadth in the co-curricular provision, enabling pupils to identify their strengths and aptitudes. ACTIVITIES
Rendcomb Pupils Horse RidingPupils singing in choir robes. They offer an extensive range of activities throughout the Junior and Senior schools which changes termly with over 100 different clubs and activities. Pupils acquire new friendships, gain confidence and new skills as they mix with students outside of their peer and tutor groups.Pupils in Reception, Year 1 and 2 participate in specific activities tailored to their age group. Years 3 to 6 also take part in tailored activities but also have opportunities to join Senior School activities such as College Choir, Orchestra and Clay Pigeon Shooting.
DRAMA
Junior School pupils have weekly drama lessons and the Otters (Nursery to Year 2) perform every year in their Nativity and Easter show. Years 3 to 6 take part in a musical production in the Summer Term. In many cases, pupils are invited to participate in Senior productions. Recent Junior School productions include, The Wizard of Oz, Robin and the Sherwood Hoodies, Porridge, Pirates of the Curry Bean, Rock Bottom and Star Warts.Senior School pupils can take part in two main performances each year which alternate between plays and musicals. Recent productions include One Man, Two Guv’nors, Macbeth, Jerusalem, Footloose, Amadeus, Les Misérables, The Country’s Good , And Then There Were None, The Day Out and The Crucible, They Will Rock You. The Seniors' most recent production was, Skellig.
DANCE
The dance studio at Rendcomb College is located within the school's fabulous performing arts centre, The Griffin Theatre. The studio benefits from a sprung floor, air conditioning, PA system, ballet barres and mirrors.
MUSIC
Rendcomb College’s Music Department is vibrant and varied with many pupils throughout the Junior and Senior Schools taking individual instrumental lessons in addition to their timetabled music lessons.Pupils are encouraged to join the many ensembles and activities on offer which include: College Choir, Junior School Choir and Chamber Choir, Orchestra, Music Theory Club, Ukulele Club, Clarinet Ensemble, Music Tech Club, Rock Band, Jazz Ensemble, Composition Club, regular informal lunchtime concerts and formal termly concerts.With a team of dedicated musicians on the staff, pupils may have one to one tuition in almost every instrument and style, helping to build skills that will enrich lives and potentially fuel a desire for a future career in music.

The Nursery welcomes children from the term they turn 3 years old and children may join the Junior School throughout the year in all year groups; from Reception to Year 6. The Senior School has three main entry points; at 11+ (Year 7), 13+ (Year 9) and 16+ (Lower Sixth). Entry into other year groups is also possible dependent on availability. Boarding is available from Year 7 upwards.

SCHOLARSHIPS & BURSARIES
A number of Scholarships (Academic, Art, Music, Drama and Sport) are awarded each year at Year 7, Year 9 and Lower Sixth entry. From 2019, we are also awarding our new 100% Centenary Scholarships which offer fully-funded places for up to 2 pupils joining Year 4 and up to 3 pupils joining Year 12. Scholarships are based on the assessment of a pupil’s potential and the value that we believe they will add to the life of our school. We also award the Rendcomb Scholarship and the 100% Noel Wills Scholarship to a pupil joining Year 7.
