Ravenscroft Primary School is a State Primary school for kids aged 3 to 11 (Gender - Mixed). They are a large, friendly, multi ethnic, inclusive primary school and nursery situated in Canning Town, East London. They offer outstanding care and support. The aim is to provide for all the children's needs and enable them all to achieve their potential and grow into confident and successful citizens of the future.The school is mostly on one floor, except for the Year 5 classrooms which are on the first floor; all areas are wheelchair friendly. The school is continuously planning to ensure all are safe and secure in a vibrant environment.
 

Facilities

Curriculum: Children at Ravenscroft should expect to be motivated, excited and challenged by Art and Design. They will be encouraged to be creative, inventive and imaginative and to explore and enquire. They will have opportunities to be reflective, evaluate, independent and to become confident learners. They will learn how art and design reflects and shapes our history, and contributes to the culture, creativity and wealth of the nation.Children at Ravenscroft should expect Design and Technology to be inspiring, rigorous, practical and creative. They should expect to design and make products within a range of contexts. They will acquire a broad range of subject knowledge that draws on mathematics, science, computing and art. They will learn how to take risks and become resourceful and innovative. They will learn the impact of design and technology on daily life and the wider world.

Music: At Ravenscroft, children have the opportunity to learn to play the Violin, Clarinet, Cello and Drumming.  The lessons are taught by qualified professional tutors.

SEND provision for Children and Young People at Ravenscroft Primary School: Ravenscroft Primary School is a mainstream school where they combine outstanding standards of educational attainment with a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities.  They encourage the pupils to see themselves not just as being part of, and contributing to, the school community but to London, their city.Ravenscroft is growing rapidly - they are now a three form entry school. They are proud of all the pupils and they are proud of the school.  Many of the pupils are with us from Nursery to Y6 but they warmly welcome the pupils who join them at different stages in their school career.
