Description

Ilford County High School is leading State Secondary school in Ilford. This is a Selective school for kids age 11 to 18 years. Gender - Boys

As a grammar school, they are naturally proud of the reputation for academic excellence, but this is just one facet of the first-class education They offer our students. We encourage the young men who attend ICHS to become actively involved in both the school and the wider community, to take responsibility and to show leadership. We nurture sporting, artistic, and cultural interests and provide challenges within a supportive environment which enable students to develop their characters so they can leave ICHS as mature, confident and well-balanced young adults. Students graduate from ICHS with the personal attributes, resilience and commitment that open the doors into the ‘best’ of Higher Education and employment.

Curriculum Overview
Ilford County High School is an 11 to 18 school rather than an 11-16 school with a Sixth Form. The vast majority of boys remain at school for seven years and transfer to university following A Level courses. The curriculum of the school reflects this and throughout seeks to establish high standards of academic success both in terms of the knowledge required by the examination process and, more importantly, developing the skill of independence, responsibility and resilience increasingly required by both higher Education and future employers.

Sixth Form
ICHS is a high achieving boys grammar school, we work alongside our students to ensure they make excellent progress and achieve their very best grades. If you decide to join us here at ICHS you will take a full and active role in our school community embracing our values of integrity, courtesy, hard work and success.
